Nottingham Trent University announces that it is implementing Intuitive Dashboards to improve the quality and responsiveness of their management information.
The initial implementation will improve IT service desk reporting. Jacqui Tyler, Business Solutions Development Manager, explains, “Rather than wading through complex, lengthy reports that take four days a month to compile and are out-of-date by the time we receive them, Intuitive Dashboards gives us instant, real-time access to the information we need, in an easy-to-understand, graphical format. This will reduce the time it takes to produce reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support incidents, so we can now identify, categorise and resolve issues within minutes. Real-time and more visual access to this information will also enable better understanding of support issues and trends, which will allow us to provide a more proactive support service as well as greater transparency about service metrics and value to our users.”
Following the initial project, the University’s next implementation of Intuitive Dashboards will provide real-time, interactive alerting and reporting on energy usage and potential savings relating to ICT equipment, which will help the University to reach its target of reducing carbon emissions by 48% by 2020/21.
Tyler continued, “I’m very pleased that we’re implementing Intuitive Dashboards. As well as several projects that we’ve already identified, we also have a wealth of management information in our existing IBM Cognos data warehouse. Intuitive Dashboards gives us instant access to key performance-related data in a cost-effective, timely manner, so we can focus on using the information to understand where the critical issues lie and what steps we need to take, in order to provide an improved service to our users. As Intuitive Dashboards is so easy to use and quick to implement, we plan to roll it out to more than 100 users initially.”
